David Gale has more than 10 years of experience as a successful lawyer and entrepreneur. In addition to practicing corporate, securities, and human resources law, David also has significant entrepreneurial experience. Mr. Gale is the President of Flatrock Capital, LLC, a private investment holding company whose portfolio includes community banks and commercial real estate. In addition, David is General Counsel of Pathfinder Holdings, LLC, a private equity firm, and serves on the Board of Directors of both Frontier Bank and The Bank of Madison.
Mr. Gale was the founder of five start-up successful companies from 1997 through 2007: Passageways Cigar Company, a specialty retailer, in 1997; Lumber Logic Corporation, a business-to-business internet startup, in 2000; Clean Cans, Inc., a construction services company, in 2001; Frontier Holdings, LLC, a community bank holding company, in 2004; and Devenu Medical Rejuvenation Center, a health care services company, in 2006.
David, a native of North Platte, Nebraska, graduated cum laude from the Creighton University School of Law in 1997, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Creighton Law Review. He was also awarded the Gail Werner-Robertson Entrepreneur Scholarship, and received an American Jurisprudence Award in Franchise Law. Subsequent to his graduation from law school, Mr. Gale served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable William G. Cambridge, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the District of Nebraska.
Prior to law school, David received a commission in 1993 as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army Reserve upon his completion of Officer Candidates' School in Fort Benning, Georgia. He retired as a Captain in 2003.
Mr. Gale earned his undergraduate degree in 1992, when he was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he received a full-tuition Regents' Scholarship. While attending UNL, David concentrated his studies in finance, and was a student in the inaugural Entrepreneur 121 course offered by the College of Business Administration.
David and his wife, Kristine, live in Fremont, Nebraska, and have three sons – Jack, Charlie, and Thomas.
